The Definitive Jurassic Park Funko List

Funko has released Jurassic Park licensed figures in several different lines. This means you have to do some digging to really figure out what’s out there in the Jurassic Park vinyl lineage. I was able to find 50 figures covering Jurassic Park, Jurassic World, and Jurassic World: Dominion. I was also able to spot 16 mystery minis and 3 Pop! keychains. I’ll list it all later in this article. Of course there are always new products in the works, as well as products like games that I’ve just decided to leave outside of the scope of this article. And there will occasionally be obscure variants that can slip through the cracks (let me know if you see any).

How Many Jurassic Park Funkos Are There?

The initial Jurassic Park line came out in early 2018, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the film’s release. This core run covered 7 characters, running from #545 to #552 in the Pop! Movies line. The 4 human characters covered are Alan Grant, Ian Malcolm, Dennis Nedry and John Hammond. And of course there were the 3 dinosaurs: Velociraptor, T. Rex and Dilophosaurus.

Dr. Alan Grant holds the first mold in the line at #545. John Hammond at #546 tends to compete with Alan Grant in terms of demand on the secondary market, both hovering around the $30-40$ range. Dr. Ian Malcolm is the only character with 2 molds in the core run (#547 and #552). And I praise the Funko gods that it is so, for this is one of my personal favorite Pop! Vinyls of all time. Behold #552, Ian Malcolm (Wounded), portraying Malcolm’s casual state of bare chested repose after a life threatening brush with a Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Wounded Ian Malcolm

While Ellie got skipped in the core run (kinda lame) she did appear with the Jurassic Park vehicle in Pop! Rides #39 which was released just a short time after the core lineup in February, 2018.

In addition, there are a handful of other Jurassic Park figures and sets that fall outside of the core lineup. All were released at later dates. After the Ellie Sattler Pop! ride! in February, 2018, The first follow up release we saw was a 2-pack Dennis Nedry and Dilophosaurus that came out that November with Nedry baring the iconic dark splat where the dilophosaurus spit in his face before attacking him on his ill fated trip to the supply boat.

In 2020 we saw the release of a BoxLunch exclusive translucent green Velociraptor in the Pop! Movies line at position #888. This figure was originally bundled with a matching t-shirt. It’s pretty similar to the velociraptor in the core line at #549, but the green is way cooler.

In early 2022 we saw a series of Jurassic Park figures under exclusive release with Target. The Mr. DNA release in January at #1170, and then a series of 3 sets falling under the Pop! Movies line and count, but branded as ‘Moment’. This can get a little confusing, especially considering that there appear to be other movie moment type scenes that fall under their own lines. As you can imagine, these figures are designed to represent classic moments from the film. The Jurassic Park portion of this ‘moment’ subseries falls under Pop! Movies #1198, #1199 and #1204, depicting three iconic scenes. In order: Dr. Sattler examines the Triceratops, Tim Murphy evades the velociraptors in the mess hall, Muldoon finds himself becoming the hunted.

How Many Jurassic Park Funko Variants Are There?

In the initial run of the Jurassic Park Funko Pop! line, Velociraptor (#549) and Dilophosaurus (#550) figures both ran with variants. The velociraptor exists in both yellow and black eyes. Dilophosaurus variants get a little more complex. The rarest version would be the 1:6 chase where dilophosaurus has its neck fan retracted. There also exists a Glow-In-The-Dark (Jurassic World: The Exhibition) limited edition variant as well as a Target exclusive red variant.

The Mr. DNA figure released in 2022 includes a diamond collection variant as well. Diamond collection figures are finished with a glitter coating

How Many Jurassic World Funko Pop! Figures Are There?

Also in 2018, a series of 7 Jurassic World figures were released into the Pop! Movies line in conjunction with the release of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. This run covered 7 characters, running from #585 to #591. The 2 human characters covered are Owen Grady and Claire Dearing. The 5 dinosaur characters represented are Blue (the Velociraptor), Stygimoloch, Indoraptor, a 10″ T. Rex and a baby Velociraptor, though it appeared in the arms of a secondary Owen Grady figure.

There was also a 10″ Blue offered as a Walmart exclusive. That figure appears later at #1077 in the line.

Outside of that core line though we also got a 2-pack of Blue and T-Rex. And you can’t overlook the 2022 Walmart exclusive Claire with Flair Pop! Movies moment at position #1223

How Many Jurassic World Funko Pop! Variants Are There?

I was only able to spot 1 variant in the Jurassic World Funko lineup, and it’s often overlooked. The Indoraptor had 2 releases, one in a gray color and one in a black color. You can see the difference in this video that also illustrates the Velociraptor eye color variant.

How Many Jurassic World: Dominion Funko Pop! Figures Are There?

The release of Jurassic Park: Dominion in 2022 has driven the largest burst of Jurassic Funkos yet. The line, bookended by the Muldoon hunting moment at #1204 and the Claire with Flare moment at 1223 covers the entire spread between, covers 18 slots. This run consists of 5 variations on Atrociraptor, all under different mold numbers. We also see Giganotosaurus, T. Rex, Therizinosaurus and Blue the Velociraptor under 2 molds, one solo and one with her baby Beta. And there are both Giganotosaurus and T. Rex in the 10″ format.

In terms of characters, we have a refreshed Dominion Owen Grady and Claire Dearing. There are also the now aged versions of Dr.’s Grant, Sattler and Malcolm. And we also get our first Maizie Funko. Skipping a few slots #1268 we get a Kayla Watts figure as a fall convention limited edition. This one is kinda oddly billed as a New York Comic Con limited exclusive while also being promoted at Target and online via the Funko store.

Therizinosaurus, Giganotosaurus and T. Rex also share a 3-pack in this line.

Jurassic Park Appearances in other Funko Lines

We already covered Ellie Sattler in the Pop! Rides line. But there are a few more Jurassic cameos in the Funko world.

In the Pop! Movie Posters line at position #39 is the original Jurassic Park movie poster with a T. Rex figure attacking a Velociraptor.

The Pop! Towns line pairs characters with relevant buildings or monuments. John Hammond pairs with the gates to Jurassic Park at #30 in the line.

And while really borderline relevant to the proper pop! Vinyl lines, there are some miniature figures, including 3 Pocket Pop! keychains and 16 total Mystery Minis figures.

Conan as Dr. Ian Malcolm

Highly deserving of an honorable mention here. The Conan Pop! line was released yearly during live tapings of the Conan, on TBS show at San Diego Comic Con between 2015 and 2020. The line numbers up #1-#34. Now technically, the 2020 SDCC was cancelled, but we still saw the release of the final 5 figures in the Conan line that year, before Conan’s late night retirement effective in mid-2021.

At #33 is the Conan version of the Ian Malcolm Wounded Pop! mentioned earlier. If you follow Conan, you know that he’s maintained a solid working relationship with Jeff Goldblum over the years. This takes it to new levels.

Mystery Minis

Mini Mysteries is a line of smaller figures packaged in the same opaque wrapping so that you don’t know what you’re getting. Certain figures are intentionally more rare than others. The Jurassic Park: Dominion release includes 16 figures ranging in rarity from 1:6 to 1:72.
